You would like to appeal?

As a CERTIVATION customer, you have the right to appeal against a certification decision. CERTIVATION assures you that the appeal will be treated confidentially and will not lead to any disadvantages for the appellant.

An appeal must be made in writing. Please note the following.

  • State your name, address and the procedure number.
  • Give detailed reasons for your appeal.
  • Attach all supporting documents that help to understand the appeal.
  • Sign the appeal.

Please send the appeal to
CERTIVATION GmbH
Am Seitenkanal 8
49811 Lingen (Ems)
Germany

If you would like to submit the appeal electronically, please see the note on qualified electronic signature below and use the following mailbox: office@certivation.com.

You will receive a written confirmation of receipt of your appeal.

As a rule, we examine appeals in several steps:

  • The appeal is handed over to the quality management officer (QMO). The QMO first checks whether the facts described constitute a justified appeal and whether it can already be assessed on the basis of the information and documents submitted.
  • If there are any uncertainties, we clarify the facts further. For this purpose, the QMO usually requests a statement from the parties involved in the procedure and forwards the appeal request. These statements are examined by the QMO.
  • If the review shows that the certification decision is not appealable, we will inform you as the objector.
However, if it turns out that the appeal is well-founded, your appeal will be upheld and the decision corrected.

We will keep you informed about the processing status of your appeal and respond as soon as possible. Please note that a statement must first be obtained from the parties involved, and experience shows that it takes some time for this to be received and reviewed. As the objector, however, you will in any case receive a final letter regarding your appeal.

Electronic documents with a qualified electronic signature can be sent to all CERTIVATION e-mail addresses. The term qualified electronic signature is defined in Article 3 No. 12 of Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 ("eIDAS Regulation"). If the electronic document is signed in accordance with these requirements, you can thus replace the written form required for the appeal.
